TMGA Launch Video Wins Vega Arcturus Award

Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy launch camp video receives prestigious award at this year’s Vega industry awards

We are thrilled to announce that at the prestigious 2018 Vega Digital Awards Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy’s launch camp video was named as one of the winners of an Arcturus Prize.

The award, which named TMGA’s video as the third best worldwide video in its category, is a credit to the success of TMGA’s launch camp held at Merchant Taylors’ School in August of last year.

The video, which featured former England Test Captain Michael Atherton as presenter and narrator, showed Sachin Tendulkar and Middlesex and England cricketers Steven Finn and Toby Roland-Jones working with and imparting their wisdom upon the young cricketers on the camp.

Multi award-winning film and video production company, Ark Media Productions, worked closely with TMGA on the project to produce the video and not only shot the content of the launch camp itself but edited the content through to completion.

On TMGA’s video receiving the Vega Arcturus prize, James Keightley, General Manager of TMGA, commented:

“We are delighted that our video has been recognised with this award and our thanks go to the team at Ark Media for their work with us on producing the video.

“The launch camp itself was an enormous success and gave us the perfect platform to take the Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy forwards, and this video perfectly showcased the passion, vision and mission of everyone involved at TMGA.

“This award comes at a perfect time for TMGA as we embark upon the next phase of our growth - planning for future camps and academies globally.”

Phil Arkinstall, MD of Ark Media, commented:

“This was a great project to be involved with and I’m proud of the team at Ark Media for their commitment and dedication to both the filming and the post production work undertaken.

“It’s great to have won the Vega Digital Award for best online video in the sports category and is testament to their work although it obviously helps that we have a few sports fans on the team!”
